In the legit cases where we've had to cancel a date the guy has called or texted me and let me know in advance and also immediately made new plans.

And it's actually harder to be happy and content then it is to be miserable and depressing.

Your gf needs to get a grip. It shouldn't be anyone's job to continually curtail their own good time because she's out of control and putting herself at risk.
