So I don't think he is shouting it from the rooftops either I appreciate your advice regardless of how crappy it feels to hear. Also, he has mentioned that he has to be on his best behavior at work because he would never want to disappoint our boss. In my defense, (there I go again) I make it a point to be totally PC with him at work and don't act any differently around him compared to my other co-workers. As of now all the guys here are respectful (at least to my face) and know that I am a relatively chummy and cheerful person, so I don't think anybody is aware of what is happening. I guess it's me trying to justify the situation because I am a younger woman.
added by Charlette for Andrewsdotter on 18.12.2020 in 13:12You need to communicate much better with your guy, tell him exactly how you feel, and tell him why you will feel uncomfortable until you are able to pay your full share of expenses in a live-together scenario. He needs to know this and if the two of you are going to be successful as a couple, you've got to learn to share your feelings with him in detail to the point of resolution. It sounds like you are intent on paying your part of this and right now you are not able. Don't even think about moving in with him until you feel comfortable financially.
