I know through his coworkers that boy is having an extremely busy week at work, probably the most busy they've been all year. Boy kisses me goodnight and goes home. Hi folks - Here's the scenario: Boy seems to really like me. Boy and I go out on a date last Friday. Date goes nicely, but towards the end after a few glasses of wine, I say some things that make me sound cynical and jaded about relationships. Boy and I email a bit on Monday or Tuesday, but boy doesn't call and ask me out again or return my Wednesday call asking him out. All of a sudden, I realize that *I* really like boy despite my jadeness and cynicism about relationships! (Boy has a very high-pressure job.) Boy finally leaves me a message yesterday, and I call him right back an hour later and leave him a voicemail message.

I think he specifically told you he was single, and asked you out to try to hook up with you again. It's potentially putting you in the position of "rebound" girl, and you could get really hurt.
