In your shoes I'd pull the plug, but I would never have gotten into this position so me being in your shoes is a moot point. Life is too short to be dealing with this nonsense.

Any guesses why this happened? And then Friday afternoon he just disappeared. Did I do something that made him less interested (ie being slow about sex)? I'm not surprised he didn't want to do distance. He's texted me good morning every day since we started talking. Or does it sound more likely he met a chick in the city he's in on tinder, or kindled something with one of his classmates when they all reunited last week after the most recent rotations? What I'm surprised by is how he acted like he was fine with it for the last month, was making really awkward wedding jokes, and telling me this was "going somewhere", and then suddenly goes from nonstop to dropping off the map in one day.

This ruins our "I didn't put out, so he got OUT" hypothesis. No matter how busy. Thoughts--Did his hookup he's not admitting to end, or is he just bored now because his rotation is over and he's hoping for entertainment until the next one begins? I'm not really sure what the point of him reaching out to me now to text me about stupid things would be? I still believe the "im busy" is rubbish-- no matter how busy, you would still keep seeing someone if you were truly interested.

and god forbid that either of those ideals ever wanted to just get laid! same on her end. as stupid as it sounds, there is some part of you that is seeing this "sugar and spice/future mother of my children/little angel" vision of her, and she's got an equally ridiculous "knight in shining armor" ideal of you. she's in a category where no woman has ever been before in your head, and knowing that she's had some less-than-stellar or not-so-thought-out liasons "normalizes" her, and subconsciously that bothers you.
