So I assume you did mention him, but when you say you didn't tell him much about Dan...well, if he knew Dan was your best friend and yet you didn't say much about him..to me, to a guy..that would seem almost like you are "guarding" that relationship from me, so to speak. I'm just telling you how it looks from a guys point of view, from your words it is not like he didn't know Dan existed until he snooped.
