I bet you have at least one similar interest to discuss. you ask her at the beginning of the date what she likes, her interests, etc. and start your conversation from there.

Sorry, I realize it's unfortunate. Nope, small talk is different than meeting in a social setting.

Because I had the misfortune to walk in on my fiance and my best friend in my bed. I know I was terribly hard on you. I was because I never got the chance t have the situation I as placed in ever exlpained to me or even talked about.

I so desperately want us to work but I don't know how. Not sure if this is relevant but thought I'd add it to give you more info. I'm not sure what to do and it's doing my head in. Also I do feel I have codependent (caretaker) tendencies and so does he, although his is with other people in his life but not me.
