So, we're all special, just like everybody else. I don't think that the key message of that (admittedly tasteles) article is to settle for bearable unhappiness . The point is that if you have a decent human being in front of you, with similar priorities, and to whom you're attracted to, there's really no reason not to marry them in anticipation of a bigger, better deal. While I will certainly find other women that exceed her on one or more dimensions, they will probably be defficient on others, so on average the tradeoffs will be pretty much the same. The problem is that *everybody* feels that way (myself included). I don't feel like I'd be settling with my girlfriend at all. Nobody is perfect (myself included). I feel like I'd be super smart to not let her go.

You'd be surprised at how interesting this is. You don't even have to hear what they're saying.....just watch their actions and body language. Here's a tip that I think will help you the best: start watching men and women in public and how they interact with each other. My favorite is when the woman stomps out the door. A really fun activity is to do this in a bar.

Read my initial post on this thread. I've been on LS long enough to see the pain of the aftermath. You're incredible short sighted and in some regard selfish to think that entangling yourself with another man will have no bearing on your children. These things never end well.
