"I think I am falling in love with him", "is it too soon to know that he is the one?". I know I am being nuts and irrational but I need a way to express my feelings without making him think I am a crazy person. So I have a "memo pad" on my smartphone that I use to write little messages to myself. Things that I want to say but probably shouldn't say to him.

Be clear about what you want, with the understanding that it might well not be what he wants. I think that rather than trying to figure out what he wants, you should just figure out what you want. You guys have been together for a year; it's not as if you'd be sprining something unreasonable on him.
