I don't get why he would make the effort contact me after a year then just ignore me I'm kinda angry and not sure what to do i dont understand his behaviour at all So yeah someone I have been on n off dating contacted me out the blue after a year and we started talking normal for abit but now he ignores me on whatsapp and won't!

In fact it's a self-perpetuating cycle of being seen as a massive dork. A lot of Asian guys who grow up in the states are still heavily influenced by Asian parents. Asian parents are usually only concerned with book smarts and future careers. Now combine this upbringing with society's own stereotypes concerning Asian men and it doesn't paint a pretty picture. Little to no effort is devoted in developing social skills or other pursuits. An emphasis is placed on being an academic or career-orientated robot.

Very open mind guy, but straigh.
