I'll grant that short women have less of a problem than short men. But I do think men do care about height and like taller women. I'll grant that guys "seem to" care less about height than women "seem to," (I only said what I said to get your goat a bit).

The other thing is genetics. Some people are simply programmed to have this need for religion, etc. Your bf's family's religion could feasibly do the same thing to you and your family. Your children may end up gravitating toward the religion simply because of family genetics, and because you're so against it. First of all, your bf still seems to be influenced by the religion and is somewhat on the fence about it. The reason I say that is two-fold.

Calling is nice sometimes, when in a relationship or just to touch base before you meet, but you're running the risk here of appearing or getting WAY too invested in someone you haven't met, which can be very offputting. Have a little mystery. And cut down the calls! Be a bit busy now and then. If a guy had three hours a day to speak to a girl he'd never met on the phone I'd think he had a pretty empty life. And you're using up all of your conversation that you could be having face to face.

It just doesn't seem worth it? I would say, if it is causing you to so much strife, I would maybe discuss sacrificing it. Make sure you both agree to do so.
